i named myself as my dog so the whole game didnt really feel as scary as it should be, but tbh i also felt very flattered the whole time because no one's really said anything about my eyes and how pretty they are so thanks for that. a 10 outta 10 from mr.bob !!
Wow this game was a lot of fun, it combined by love of horror and quiz taking. I guess my only concern is that when I played it on stream I was unaware of that one feature and wished there was a warning or some way to turn it off. Great game!
How was this game made? I presume Unity. Playing this, it's made me want to make my own sort of creepy, unsettling quiz like this, it's really cool and I'm a sucker for this type of horror. I want to do a more historical aspect to it, and have more deep questions, maybe make it 40 minutes long or so. How do I do this? I'm literally a 0 in game dev experience. I have never made ANYTHING video-game wise. I've been watching videos of games like Watson-Scott Test and also the newer Mandela Catalogue ones and I think I could make something cool and fresh with those concepts. That being said, I have not the slightest idea of how to make a game like those. I mean the full questionnaire vibe about it, with glitches, creepy pop messages, unsettling ads. I don't even know what program I'd need to make a game like that, or if it is even possible for someone with my lack of experience to make one. If someone could tell me what apps are necessary and the basics of how I would go about making it, I would appreciate it very much. Could I get the free version of Unity and still make a game like this?
There are easier ways and harder ways. Probably a 10 year old could do it given enough time. However, especially as people grow older, technical problems can become intimidating if you don't have training. I find that greeting people with compassion is more effective than dismissing their concerns.
Cool game, I noticed you're using Unity. You might find this tool useful: https://simonnordon.itch.io/itchio-publisher-for-unity It allows you to directly upload and update games from inside Unity. There's a free version as well if you just want to try. My goal was to make developing for itch less painful, I'd love to know what you think.

You could definitely make one! Here are some options from least programming effort to most:
* make a quiz on https://uquiz.com/
* make it using https://elliotherriman.itch.io/calico (this is what I used to make https://ezra-szanton.itch.io/aptitude)
* make it using Unity (this is what I used for Be Honest. I used shaders for the glitchy effects.)
* something else!
Happy to answer any follow up questions here, I like supporting others making creative stuff :)
Thanks. Did you make the ads yourself or were they stock ads? Did you make the quiz fully in Unity or with uquiz?
Just use HTML. Its super easy, just look it up. a 10 year old could probably do it.
